Spaghetti Bolognaise

Spaghetti Bolognaise

Ingredients

  • 1 large onion
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 500g mince
  • 155g tomato paste
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 tsp chicken stock powder
  • Salt & pepper
  • ½ tsp oregano
  • ¼ tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • Spaghetti
  • Grated parmesan cheese

Method

Peel and finely chop the onion. Heat oil in a frying pan and cook onion until golden.

Add mince and cook, stirring until browned. Break mince up to ensure it’s cooked through. Pour off any excess fat.

Add all other ingredients except water, parmesan cheese, and spaghetti. Cook for 1 minute, stirring.

Add water. Bring to the boil and simmer for 45 minutes. Add more water if it becomes dry.

Cook spaghetti according to packet directions. Serve with sauce on top and top with parmesan cheese.
